What Kind of Special Training Do You Have?
Dr. Hall is a lifelong learner who is passionate about his work. Before doing his orthodontics residency, he
practiced general dentistry for five years, gaining valuable experience and perspective dealing with complex
dental cases. He routinely handled cases involving dental cosmetics, crown and bridge, oral surgery, bite
alignment, and TMJ dysfunction, and he has extensive experience in treating combined orthodontic-jaw surgery
cases.
Phase 1 Pediatric Interceptive Orthodontics
Experience in treating adult orthodontic problems gives Dr. Hall a unique perspective when helping children and
teens with their futures in mind. Phase 1 Pediatric Orthodontics can often allow a child to avoid extractions of
permanent teeth and can enhance their airway development.
Lingual Braces
Dr. Hall has over 28 years of experience using lingual braces, which is where the brackets are placed on the
back of the teeth instead of the front, making them invisible. He has attended numerous conferences and received
advanced training for this evolving technology. Dr. Hall is recognized nationally by his membership in the
Incognito Golden Circle of Excellence with just 12 other orthodontists across the United States. Dr. Hall has
treated hundreds of cases with lingual braces and is the best orthodontist in Houston for this hidden style of
orthodontics.
TMJ/TMD Therapy
Dr. Tom Hall is an orthodontist with TMJ expertise who can help get your discomfort caused by TMD under
control, whether it’s a result of a past injury or bite misalignment. Orthodontics combined with other
methods can successfully manage TMJ/TMD symptoms that so many suffer with.
Accelerated Orthodontics
Dr. Hall is certified to offer PAOO/Wilckodontics, a technique that delivers a better result with additional
post-treatment stability in a fraction of the normal treatment time. Most accelerated orthodontic treatments are
completed in 8-12 months using traditional outside braces or custom lingual braces. Advanced training is
required to become certified in Wilckodontics, and Dr. Hall has the most experience among orthodontists in Texas
with this type of treatment.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Hall is an avid outdoorsman, and in his free time, he enjoys sailing, water skiing, reading, bicycling,
traveling, and fishing. He is a regular supporter of the MS 150 Houston to Austin fundraising bicycle tour,
having ridden it multiple times. He resides in Houston and spends most weekends on the Texas coast.
